近くの小学生が育てたひまわりが飾ってありました。太陽に向かって真っ直ぐのび、背丈もあり今の季節にピッタリ！

The hotel where I am staying in Japan this week had a Hawaiian buffet. So I threw on an aloha shirt, headed down and took some photos.

近くの温泉に行ってきました。行ってみると1番乗りで1人で独占できゆっくり満喫できました。
ここのお湯は、ツルッとしてお肌がしっとりします💕

I went to a nearby hot spring. I was the first one there, and I was able to enjoy the hot spring all by myself.
The water here is smooth and moisturizes the skin💕.

美味しい和菓子のお店を見つけたので、抹茶を点てて一緒に頂いています。形、色と食感が毎回違い楽しみが増えます。

I found a delicious Japanese sweets store, and I have been enjoying them with a cup of green tea. The shape, color, and texture are different each time, which adds to the fun.

梅雨が明けたと思ったら危険な暑さが続いています。そんな中でも真っ白な花を咲かせているカサブランカを見かけました。ほのかに甘い匂いがします。

The rainy season has just ended and the heat has been dangerously hot. Despite the heat, I saw a Casablanca with pure white flowers. It has a faintly sweet smell.

In most department stores, shopping centers and even office buildings in Japan you can find one or two restaurant floors with a variety of dishes to try. When you walk in the entrance they usually have a signboard, like the one below from Cocowalk in Nagasaki. Hmmm…which one should I try?

Of course sometimes you’re better off just looking at the photos and staying away from the English descriptions you might find on Google…. Anybody up for lunch at Giblet hotpot female-impersonator? The organ meat is muscular!

I’m visiting Nagasaki this week and I stopped over at Cafe and Bar Umino at Nagasaki Station for a Nagasaki Milk Seki. It’s sort of like a milkshake- although more like a shaved ice with condensed milk. You are supposed to eat it with a spoon. In either case, it’s good, especially when the temperature outside is just north of 90 degrees…
